Back to School Outfit Ideas

Hey Girls,

If your anything like me, you not only love makeup but fashion as well!!! I have created a few different outfits based on just 3 articles of clothing for the new school year! Take them into consideration then make them your own!

This outfit is all from Urban Outfitters
Top: $20 on sale
Shorts: $40
I love the detail to the top.
The scoop fringe has lace incorporated into it with gives it a really feminine touch.
The shorts are perfect for school because they (almost) meet the dress code of being mid-thigh.

For this I just added a grey ad white striped sweater from Urban Outfitters.
$30 on sale
This sweater is perfect for those chilly mornings.

For this picture I just added a thin brown belt.
IDK where this is from (I got it from my Grandma's closet)
TIP: Find things in your relatives wardrobe that they don't wear.
That way you can save money and give the piece of clothing a second owner.

This skirt is from Johnnie B (online store incorporated with Boden)
$54 NOT including shipping and handling
It has a busniess appeal to it because it hugs the legs.
High waisted skirts are very in but while most people wear flowy floral ones I prefer to take my own route and go with a tight heart print.
The top is a deep purple from Delias
$20
Matches the purple hearts on the skirt almost perfectly!

For this picture I added a grey flowy cardigan from H&M
$15
It matches the grey hearts on the skirt and it contrasts nicely with the tight skirt.

This dress is form Nordstrom in the Teen section.
$50
The base color is a light grey and it has maroon flowers.
I love the country appeal to this.

For this outfit I just added a jean jacket from JCrew
I got this from my Mom so I am unaware of the price.
It sticks with the country feel to the dress but while the dress is a feminine approach the jean is more of a manly touch.
The two contrast nicely.

\

For this picture I added a belt.
I am unaware of the price because my Mom gave it to me.
It still sticks with country and it gives the outfit a little shape.
Here it hugs my waist, but it could go just under the bust or at the hip depending on the look you are trying to accomplish.

Loreal HIP Jelly Balm Review

Hey All,

I heard about this from Meganheartsmakeup and I felt the need to try it. Here are my thoughts and opinions toward the product:

This is what it looks like on,
I like it, however it has to be applied with a lip brush BECAUSE if you apply with your fingers it leaves them feeling very sticky.

This is the product.
I got in in RIPE 220
About $9 depending on where you live
Get at your local drugstore
Smells really good!!!
OVERALL: Good for the price!

Benefit Cosmetics Review

Hey Girlies,

Benefit is a much raved about brand of makeup, so I decided to give it a shot. These are the products I have and MY take on each and every one of them! Lets start with the products that I have:

Creaseless Cream Shadow / Liner in Flatter Me
$19 at Sephora
I LOVE this product!!!
This particular color is a shimmery neutral with a hint of purple.

Creaseless Cream Shadow / Liner in Birthday Suit
$19 at Sephora
I LOVE this product!!!
This particular color is a shimmery neutral with a hint of champagne!

Creaseless Cream Shadow / Liner in RSVP
$19 at Sephora
I LOVE this product!!!
This particular color is a shimmery neutral with a hint of pink.
(Please note that this packaging is almost half the size of the original size. This is because I received this product for free at Sephora because I am a Beauty Insider)
The price above is the original size price.

High Beam Luminescent Complexion Enchancer
$28 at Sephora
The purpose of this product is to highlight certain parts of your face.
While I use it only on the cheek bone and just below the brow bone, it can go anywhere on your face where you want the light to reflect.
Please Note: The High Beam is the highlighter that has a pink undertone and is for those who are fair skinned (LIKE ME!). The Moon Beam is the highlighter that has a champagne undertone and is for those who have a darker complexion.
Over all: I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
It is simple to use and helps a bunch!
However...
BE AWARE!!!
For those of you that have oily skin, this may cause your face to look shinier that ever. I have oily skin, but only around my T Zone and since I use this product only on the cheek bones and below the brow bone, it doesn't affect me the slightest.

Posie Tint: Poppy Pink tinted lip and cheek stain solution.
$28 at Sephora
I LOVE this product...for my cheeks.
What you do is apply 2 lines on the apple of your cheeks (find these by smiling and finding the most tissued part) then rub in, moving some product upward.
Please Note: You MUST rub this product in fast as lighting! If you fail to do so you will be able to see the original lines you put on your cheeks. :(
On the bright side, this does not cause my skin to break out and its perfect for those of you who want a NATURAL looking pink tint.
I do NOT like this product for my lips.
While the color is there, it makes my lips sticky a dry.
I feel like I am constantly having to put clear gloss over it to keep it looking even the slightest bit shiny.

BAD Gal Lash Black Mascara
$19 at Sephora
This product is OK.
You see, while the volume and application it gives me is good (but not worth its price!) the color is what is bad.
When you first apply it it works fine, but in just an hour its looks like you are wearing nothing!
I find myself CONSTANTLY having to reapply, wondering where all the mascara has gone!
It is not close to being comparable to Cover Girls Lash Blast Mascara which is only $9 at your local drug store.
THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SIZE!
This is the trail size.
I got this for free at Sephora because I am a Beauty Insider.
The price above is the price for the original size.

BAD Gal Plum Mascara
$19 at Sephora
This treats the same as the black mascara, so its OK.
This gets WAY more use than the black mascara because I use this for funny makeup looks I do because it is purple.
THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SIZE!
This is the trail size.
I got this for free at Sephora because I am a Beauty Insider.
The price above is for the original size.

Stay Don't Stray Stay-Put Primer
$24 at Sephora
This product is NOT as good as Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion which is only $18
It may just be me, but this primer does not match my skin tone and I have a pet peeve that involves the fact that my eye primer needs to blend in so that you can barely see I am wearing it.
For me, eye primers are supposed to just prevent your shadows from creasing.
This does just that BUT you can see it,
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion does that AND you can't see it.
For me, this product is not what I am looking for.
THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SIZE!
This is the trial size.
I got this for free at Sephora because I am a Beauty Insider.
The price above is the original size.
This is a Special Edition Bag.
I got it for free at Sephora because I spent more than $45 on Benefit products (to receive this I bought the High Beam Highlighter and Creaseless Cream Shadow / Liner in Birthday Suit)
This bag is PERFECT for my school makeup bag.
It is small and squishy enough to fit in my backpack easily YET it keeps all my cosmetics in tip top shape!
The only negative thing about this is the fact that it has not plastic inner lining which makes it VERY difficult to clean if you happen to spill something in it...
This product is the only product on this that won't have a swatch (Um...how could it???)
Full-Finish Lipstick in Lady's Choice
$18 at Sephora
Beautiful color (Nude with a hint of pink)
Goes on without a problem and stays on all day with only one coat to reapply half way through.
Does not crack and does not require any gloss over it to make it more shiny.
Wearable for the day and night.
THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SIZE!
This is the trail size.
I got this for free because I am a Beauty Insider at Sephora.
The price above is the original size price.

NOW LETS LOOK AT WHAT ITS LIKE ON ME!!!

This is the Flatter Me on the lid.

This is the Birthday Suit on the lid.

This is the RSVP on the lid.

This is the High Beam on my hand.
Can you see where my hand looks just a little bit lighter and the sun is reflecting from it?

This is the Posie Tint on my hand.
Can you see where my hand looks more dewy and pink?

This is the BAD Gal Lash.

This is the BAD Gal Plum.

This is the Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer.
Do you see the part that looks uneven on my arm?
THATS it.
And the funny thing is...right below it I have Urban Decays Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
And can you see that?
NO.

This is the Full-Finish Lipstick in Lady's Choice.
The color is there and it looks pretty smooth.

Milani Cosmetics Review

Hey guys,

I have been aware of Milani for a while now but for most of that time I thought it was just a nail polish company. Not until recently, as I was browsing CVS for new makeup to try out did I come across their cosmetics. I was surprised that I had not heard about it until then, but I figure it is because I have only started to get really into makeup this past year. I picked up a few things and this is what I got:

These are the nail polish swatches.
From left to right the colors are Juicy Glo, Diamond Dazzle, Sweetest Pink.
Please note that the Diamond dazzle is on top of Sephora by OPI's Read My Palm.
Picture of product is shown farther down.

This is the Runway Eyes Fashion Shadows.
From top to bottom are the exact same way the colors are packaged.
With this palette of six you can wet the shadow for a richer pigment or use it dry for a lighter shade.
For this picture I used it dry.
Please excuse the fact that my hand looks REALLY demented in this picture!!!
Picture of product is shown farther down.

The top swatch is the Eye Tech Liquid Liner in 01 Black.
The bottom swatch is the Liquif ' Eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil in 02 Silver.
Once again, my hand looks mental.
Picture of products are shown farther down.

From left to right: Sweetest Pink, Diamond Dazzle, Juicy Glo
Excuse the pink stain on the Diamond Dazzle (another pink nail polish spilled onto it)
Each polish is about $5 depending on where you live.
Overall, I like the Diamond Dazzle the best because it is the most wearable.
While the Sweetest Pink and Juicy Glo are pretty, the Diamond Dazzle can go on top of any polish to give it that glitter effect.
When wearing the Diamond Dazzle on top of another polish it looks like you have the color you are wearing in glitter!!!
These polishes are good for the price but are not even comparable to OPI (that may be because OPI is more expensive).
Swatches above.
Milani Runway Eyes Fashion Shadows
About $8 depending on where you live.
I was disappointed with this product.
The original idea caught my eye because you would wet it to get a richer pigment or keep it dry to get a softer look.
However, even wet, they are not very pigmented.
The only color I ever wear out of this palette is the white.
I like putting Sephora's Aspen Summit N 23 on the inner part of my eye to brighten my makeup look.
This white is very comparable and WAY cheaper.
Swatches above.
Milani Liquif ' Eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil
02 Silver
About $6 depending on where you live.
I REALLY enjoy this.
Although it is supposed to be used as an eye liner, I prefer to use it as a shadow.
It is soft enough to use as a shadow, yet smooth enough to get a line.
I smear the product all over my lid, then line my waterline.
It is a very eye catching look, but I believe it is a night time look ONLY.
Swatch is above.

Milani Eye Tech Liquid Eye Liner
01 Black
About $6 depending on where you live.
This is my favorite black liquid liner I have found.
Compared to the Arbonne liquid eye liner which is WAY more expensive I find this better.
Not only does it go on smoothly and easily, but it stays on.
This product reminds me of a sharpie because the brush is soft yet deliberate, and it never fades!
Swatch is above.

Thanks SO much!!!
